ONWARD SEARCH is seeking a Project Engineer / Field Engineer to support a 10-26 week construction assignment at a major site in Lebanon, IN. The role requires hands-on experience in heavy industrial environments and a focus on project execution, documentation, and field deliverables.

You will develop installation, test, and turnover packages, perform site walkdowns, create as-built drawings, and monitor progress using earned value management. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction projects.
• Experience managing IWPs, Test Packages, and Turnover Packages.
• Skilled in field walkdowns and red-line drawings.
• Familiar with piping systems, P&IDs, ISO drawings, and Primavera P6.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Project Engineer / Field Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee installation, test, and turnover packages for construction activities.
• Conduct site walkdowns to verify progress and resolve issues.
• Create and update red-line as-built drawings using field notes and specifications.
• Monitor project performance through earned value management systems.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and communication.

Project Engineer / Field Engineer Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in heavy industrial construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage IWPs, Test Packages, and Turnover Packages.
• Skilled in field walkdowns, red-line drawings, and project tracking tools.
• Familiar with piping systems, P&IDs, ISO drawings, and project scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
