Job summary

The Walsh Group is hiring a Project Engineer for projects in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Ashburn, VA. You will support document control, coordination with the project team, procurement of materials, QA/QC checks, subcontractor coordination, survey and layout, and progress reporting.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of experience, with a bachelor’s degree preferred and internships or co-ops considered a plus. Some relocation may be required as projects vary by location.

Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)
• Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination
• Procurement of construction materials
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Survey and project layout
• Weekly pictures for progress reports
• Manage construction equipment
• Safety management
• Project estimating
