Overview
PROJECT ENGINEER (Entry Level -> 0-5 Years Experience) for a Mechanical Design Engineer role in a high-volume Automotive Precision components company with plants in the US and globally. Located in Central Indiana near Indianapolis. This is a junior to early-career engineering position within Indiana Engineering Team.
Responsibilities
- The Engineer will work in a team responsible for Design Engineering, Process Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Learn and participate in engineering problem solving, and use MS Excel or MiniTab to perform engineering analysis.
- Work with Controls – PLC, Robot Programming and also perform mechanical design of equipment, jigs, fixtures and other aspects of automated equipment.
- Work with state automated and semi-automated equipment, and use 3-D CAD for design.
- Participate in quality improvement or manufacturing process improvements.
Qualifications
- Prefer BSME or BSIE or BSEE in Engineering; other engineers are welcome to apply.
- 0 to 5 years experience; recent grads are welcome to apply for a position with planned career advancement.
- Prior experience in either Design Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or internship experience is a plus.
- Prefer some experience in MS Excel (for data analysis and evaluation).
- Internship experience is a huge plus.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a diverse team setting.
- Located in Central Indiana; candidate must be presently authorized to work in USA (no visa, no sponsor).

Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
- Salary range $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience
