G&E Partners in State College, PA is seeking a Project Engineer / Office Engineer to support delivery from preconstruction through closeout. You will work closely with the Project Manager and site team to manage schedules, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation to keep programs on track.

This role blends office and field duties with travel to project sites, requiring strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of construction experience, preferably commercial.
• Strong coordination, subcontractor management, and documentation skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive problem solver with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Combination of office and on-site responsibilities; ability to travel to sites.
• Comfortable walking active construction sites and working outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage assigned trades during preconstruction including quantity take-offs and buyout.
• Oversee trades during construction: scheduling, cost control, change management.
• Assist in development and maintenance of project schedules.
• Process submittals, RFIs and change orders.
• Coordinate project documentation and digital records.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project team.
