Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Massachusetts to own end-to-end delivery of Spector IBD systems—from design release to factory acceptance and shipment.

You will coordinate across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and field service to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years in a manufacturing or capital equipment setting, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering/management within manufacturing or capital equipment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through full build cycles of complex electromechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own project delivery end-to-end from design release to shipment.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks early across engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.
• Lead ECO reviews and implement design changes with contract manufacturers.
• Serve as the customer's primary project contact with status updates.
• Coordinate electrical and mechanical design deliverables and interdependencies.
• Report execution against plan to leadership with variance, root cause and corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements to reduce cycle time for future builds.
