Job Summary

• As a Project Engineer – Transmission line, you’ll route, design, and execute high voltage transmission line projects (69kV to 500kV), with development into acting as a technical lead for projects.
• This remote position involves structure analysis, loading trees, wire sag and tension analysis, developing design criteria and specifications for transmission line design, procurement of materials, project cost estimating, and quality control reviews.
• You will regularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel, travel to project sites for visits and field reviews, and actively support business development initiatives in the transmission line markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer licensure by examination or preparation to take the PE exam soon.
• 4+ years of experience related to routing and design of high voltage overhead transmission line facilities.
• Experience in 69kV to 500kV overhead line design, including expertise in Power Line Systems based programs (PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE).
• Experience designing drilled pier foundations.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI 318.
