Job summary

CAPE is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our Construction Services Team. You’ll provide broad technical support to deliver compliant, cost-effective projects and collaborate with management and multidisciplinary teams.

Expect to participate in design, data evaluations, field engineering, and permit work, with up to 50% travel. A ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and 5 years in construction are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in civil engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in construction, with 2 in field.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to comply with health and safety training and drug testing.
• Eligibility to submit verification of U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical solutions to project challenges with supervision.
• Prepare high-quality plans and reports with minimal revision.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and provide service.
• Identify quality issues and help implement corrective actions.
• Research industry standards, client specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support including design, data evaluation, field work, and proposals.
• Support permit applications for assigned projects.
• Review drawings and specs, perform quantity take-offs, assist scopes of work.
• Participate in project meetings with teams, clients, and regulators.
