As a Project Engineer, you’ll be paired with a Superintendent and Project Manager to gain hands-on, onsite experience for at least one year. This full-time, entry-level role is designed to develop your expertise in:

• All phases of construction operations
• Client and subcontractor coordination & relationships
• Problem solving
• Project planning & scheduling
• Site safety and readiness
• Organizational skills

What You’ll Do

• Establish and maintain a fully functional jobsite office, including signage, postings, and job flow sequencing.
• Organize and maintain all construction documents: blueprints, plans, specs, shop drawings, and revisions.
• Manage jobsite processes such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, project scheduling, and invoicing.
• Support subcontractor bidding, qualification, and award processes.
• Assist in preparing and presenting bid packages to clients and ownership.
• Help evaluate costs and negotiate for value.
• Communicate accurate, timely project updates across teams and partners.

Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Local resident of Pittsburgh, PA
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related engineering field
• Internship or co-op experience in construction or project management
• Strong interest in the built environment and construction industry
• Organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn
• Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
• Enjoy problem solving and collaborating with team members towards common goals

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Onsite in Pittsburgh, PA
• Perform medium work exerting up to 20-50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity required; ability to kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
• Able to operate standard office/computer equipment
• Valid driver’s license required
