Job summary

Phillips, Inc. in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage engineering activities for multiple construction projects.

You will provide technical expertise and oversee project aspects to align plans with on-site execution. Responsibilities include generating work plans and schedules, tracking quantities, managing change orders, coordinating procurement, and supervising field personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience with advanced reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, SQL, Python, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of varied disciplines is a plus.
• Experience with mass earthwork or foundation projects is a plus.
• Must live near or be willing to relocate to the Tampa Metro area.

Responsibilities

• Generate work plans, project schedules, submittal data, and CAD drawings; present solutions to owners for design problems that arise in the field.
• Track project quantities and generate project billing.
• Initiate and negotiate change orders, and review plan changes as they arise.
• Coordinate material procurement, supplier relationships, purchase orders, and quality control efforts.
• Manage and negotiate subcontracts.
• Assist in division field personnel management, and coordinate with field teams to resolve problems.
• Attend pre-construction meetings.
• Participate in and support up to 10 concurrent projects.
• Provide regular updates to clients on project status, timelines, and key developments.
• Develop, implement, and optimize processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Work closely with field employees to ensure alignment between project plans and on-site execution.
• Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Analyze data and generate reports to support informed decision-making.
• Gradually take on more leadership responsibilities, with the potential to transition into a management role.
