Batson-Cook in Dallas is seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of commercial construction projects. You will work with owners, contractors, and design teams to ensure drawings and specs are followed and schedules are maintained.

The role involves field coordination, cost tracking, RFI management, and documenting changes, with opportunities to contribute to pre-construction, value engineering, and project close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University and 4-5 years related experience.
• Related experience to the project or market the position will serve.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes change conditions and notifies appropriate parties.
• Coordinates inspections and testing to ensure all work complies with codes, drawings and specs.
• Assists with constructability reviews and value engineering functions.
• Assembles construction financial data; monitors costs; tracks costs for force accounts.
• Assists in the definition of contract bid packages, coordinating scopes of work.
• Maintains job costing system and updates systems to reflect forecasts; creates margin reporting.
• Maintains RFI Logs and timely response to job questions.
• Prepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates.
