Job summary

Batson-Cook Construction is seeking a Project Engineer in Jacksonville, FL to support project management from pre-construction through close-out. You will work with engineers, architects, and clients to ensure plans are followed, costs are tracked, and schedules are maintained.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1-5 years of related experience, with a strong focus on accurate takeoffs, bid packages, and timely communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• 1-5 years related experience preferred
• Strong understanding of construction processes and drawings

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate change conditions to the team
• Ensure work complies with codes, drawings and specs
• Assist with constructability reviews and value engineering
• Assemble and monitor construction costs and margins
• Prepare bid packages and coordinate scopes of work
• Create and manage project documentation, reports and meetings
• Maintain RFI logs, ASIs and as-built drawings
• Support pre-construction activities and close-out activities
