Job summary

Tutor Perini Building Corp. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in the Las Vegas, NV area. The role involves monitoring construction activities, ensuring schedules and contract specs are met, and coordinating with contractors, clients, and A/E representatives.

You will prepare documentation, resolve drawing issues, and support procurement and closeout activities. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or related degree and 2+ years in commercial construction, with experience on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Two or more years of commercial construction experience.
• General Contractor work on projects exceeding $50 million.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Primavera P6 and Procore.
• TIA preparation experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, construction scheduling and CAD.
• Previous experience as a field engineer or project engineer on commercial construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction site daily and coordinate with contractors on deliveries.
• Interpret designs and drawings for craft teams installing materials.
• Resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference and errors.
• Prepare field design changes and as-built drawings.
• Document status reports, punch lists and other records.
• Verify all work complies with codes, drawings and specs.
• Attend meetings with contractors, clients, or A/E representatives to coordinate efforts.
• Develop checklists for project closeout documentation.
• Coordinate quality control with construction schedule.
• Assist Contracts Manager with scope gaps and procurement planning.
• Set up concrete logs and review concrete data.
• Coordinate MEP start-up, commissioning, and coordination.
