Job summary

Job Juncture seeks an engineer to build internal capacity for the commercial kitchen exhaust hood line, focusing on hood airflow performance, fan system specifications, and certification paths (UL 300A, EN 60335). The role allows cross-project support, including outdoor heater development, CAD in SolidWorks, BOM input, and field/mfg support.

You will work on system design, compliance, and cross‑project engineering with exposure to multiple standards and customer applications.

Qualifications

• Education: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of product engineering experience in ventilation, hood, or related equipment.
• Experience navigating UL/ETL certification regimes (ventilation, electrical, or appliance).
• SolidWorks proficiency for 3D modeling.
• Strong electrical safety mindset with NEC/NFPA-70 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize hood systems with emphasis on airflow, capture efficiency, and noise reduction.
• Lead certification workflows for UL 300A, EN 60335, UL 710, UL 507, ETL; ensure NFPA-96 compliance.
• Integrate fire suppression systems (ANSUL, Range Guard, Amerex) into hood designs.
• Specify and integrate fan systems, motors, drives, and electrical components.
• Support outdoor heater development; navigate UL 1278 and EN 60335 certifications.
• Create/modify CAD drawings in SolidWorks; collaborate on BOMs and part numbers.
• Provide technical content for manuals; assist manufacturing with field issues.
