Nelbud Services, LLC in Moonachie, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Tech for commercial kitchen ventilation systems. The role focuses on maintaining hood ventilators and related equipment, with shifts evenings and overnights based on service calls. No heating or cooling is involved.

You will apply basic mechanical maintenance knowledge, work independently, and handle filter changes and inspections of air quality ventilation controls. A valid driver’s license is required, and rooftop access is common.

Maintenance Tech - Commercial Kitchen Ventilation Systems

This position is similar to HVAC but is not HVAC. We move air through various systems, but no heating or cooling is involved.

Anybody who is in HVAC, Commercial refrigeration, or related services, please apply.

This position will vary from evenings to overnights based on the service call, but is considered a third-shift role.

• Hood – kitchen hood cleaning, technical services, and repair
• Fire – Fire protection & suppression systems
• Grease – grease trap cleaning and line jetting

Your Typical Day

• Perform general maintenance on hood ventilators and company equipment
• Inspect ventilation components for damage, unusual wear, or airflow issues
• Clean and maintain the filter housing and equipment during filter replacement
• Maintain records, service reports, and other job-related paperwork
