Job summary

We are seeking a motivated co-op student to support construction project teams in Madison, WI. Responsibilities include assisting with RFIs/submittals, document control, and coordinating with field staff, subs, and suppliers.

The role also covers preconstruction activities, basic estimating, and field operations support, with exposure to Bluebeam and Procore. The program emphasizes communication, organization, and problem-solving skills while offering housing stipend and access to onsite

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with RFIs, submittals, document control, and project communication.

• Assist in preconstruction activities including quantity takeoffs, bid packages, and subcontractor outreach.
• Support field operations with material coordination, progress photos, safety walks, QA, and punch lists.
• Learn and use Bluebeam and Procore for document updates and tracking.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Support project teams by assisting with RFIs, submittals, document control, and project communication to keep projects organized and progressing.
• Contribute to project coordination by participating in team meetings, taking meeting minutes, assisting with short-term planning, and coordinating with field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist in preconstruction and estimating activities including quantity takeoffs, bid package preparation, subcontractor outreach, and basic estimating.
• Support field operations by working with Superintendents on material coordination, progress photos, safety walks, quality assurance, and punch list activities.
• Learn and utilize project systems and tools such as Bluebeam and Procore for document updates, tracking submittals, and compiling project information.
• Build professional skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving while collaborating with project teams, clients, architects, and trade partners.
