Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Project Engineer in Federal Way, WA to manage engineering projects from conception through commissioning. You will supervise contractors, oversee budgets, and coordinate multi-discipline work with plant operations and maintenance teams.

The role requires a BS in Civil, Mining or Mechanical Engineering, strong problem solving and planning abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Mining/concrete industry experience and a PE license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mining or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Strong problem solving, planning and organizational skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from conception to commissioning.
• Create drawings and layouts; basic 2D CAD skills required.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers; oversee budgets and procurement.
• Review design calculations and drawings for compliance with company standards.
• Maintain project files and documentation.
