Job summary

RSI Environmental seeks a Project Engineer in Westminster, CO to plan, coordinate, and assess design projects across civil, environmental, and mechanical disciplines. You will interface with subcontractors, site leads, and regulatory bodies to deliver quality plans and specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, 5 years of relevant experience, a PE license, and travel up to 25%. Expect competitive benefits and a salary range above $87k per year.

Qualifications

• Complete understanding of principles, concepts, and techniques in civil and/or environmental engineering with knowledge of environmental regulations and local utility codes.
• Understanding IWCP and ISMS in LMS processes.
• Ability to lead aspects of a task or project and mentor staff engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical assessments and conduct trade-off studies to define project needs, scope, and cost.
• Develop critical path schedules for engineering projects across vendors, subconsultants, and government reviews.
• Prepare design basis, calculations, drawings, specs, and SOWs; manage cost estimates and closeout documentation.
• Provide engineering input for field activity plans (stormwater controls, safety, site access, etc.).
• Support construction phase activities and assess subcontractors’ work scope and safety analyses.
• Lead design reviews and provide comments on others’ work; mentor junior staff.
• Develop construction plans and specs for civil, mechanical, environmental projects within scope.
• Coordinate with other LMS functions and ensure ISMS compliance.
