Job summary

FITS LLC in Puerto Rico is seeking a Project Manager for Capital Projects, combining engineering knowledge with PM expertise to guide construction, manufacturing, facilities and utilities initiatives.

You will interpret design documents, manage schedules, prepare reports, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and ensure quality and safety on site.

Fluency in Spanish and English is required; the role may involve administrative shifts based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years in PM life cycle.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Shift: Administrative shift per business needs.
• Experience in Capital Projects (Construction, Manufacturing, Facilities & Utilities).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interpretation of design documents.
• Coordinate and communicate with consultants, vendors, and contractors.
• Prepare weekly project reports with progress updates.
• Review drawings for inconsistencies and conflicts.
• Interface between craft and engineering to resolve issues.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects.
• Keep site management informed of circumstances that affect projects.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

• Provide technical interpretation of design documents.
• Execute work by quality standards and site requirements.
• Perform assignments independently with minimal guidance as to the general results expected, often dealing with unusual or complex problems.
• Provide direction and regular contact to consultants, vendors, and contractors assigned to the project.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all parties.
• Keep site management informed of all circumstances that could affect projects.
• Prepare weekly project reports detailing project progress.
• Review and compare discipline drawings for inconsistencies, omitted information conflicts, etc.
• Interface between craft and engineering to resolve drawingissues.
• Interact with disciplines: subcontracts, material management, project controls, and automation tools.
• Coordinate system completion and turnover, requisition project materials, equipment, and services prepare quality control forms, and coordinate inspection.
