Job summary

Htprof in Ohio is seeking a Project Engineer to join the project management team. The role focuses on managing capital equipment projects from start to finish, coordinating with customers and internal teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; additional post education is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar project engineering position.
• Experience managing CapEx projects in manufacturing or OEM.
• Experience overseeing project timelines and budgets.
• Ability to read blueprints/part drawings.
• Forecasting and mechanical aptitude required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead up to 20 projects at a time at various stages.
• Serve as liaison between production and customers on project status.
• Oversee budgets, timelines and project scope.
• Forecast projects and document changes.
• Ensure equipment inspections meet customer scope.
• Negotiate change orders and terms with customers and operations.
• Update customers on project status and educate on costs.
• Complete project documentation and attend meetings with sales/engineering.
• Oversee equipment installs and assist with final inspections.
• Represent the company professionally to build client relationships.

Established original equipment manufacturer is hiring a Project Engineer to join their project management team. The Project Engineer will work within a team of project managers and operations professionals to complete multiple projects on time and within budget. Daily you will report to a Project Team Lead. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Manage and lead up to 20 projects at a time at various stages
• Communicate as the liaison between production and customers on the status of projects
• Oversee budgets and manage timelines and project scopes
• Forecast projects and communicate and document changes
• Ensure that inspection and verification of equipment meets the scope of the customer project
• Negotiate change orders, project terms, scheduling etc. with customers and operations
• Update customers on the status of projects and hold them accountable to the project scope or educate them on additional costs of the project
• Complete all project documentation and attend project meetings with sales and engineering
• Oversee equipment installs and assist with oversight of final inspection
• Represent the company in a professional manner that will foster and build client relationships
• Other duties as directed by management

Requirements for the Project Engineer

• 1. Minimum of a high school diploma; additional post education is preferred
• 2. Ideally 3-5 years of experience in a similar project engineering position
• 3. Experience managing CapEx projects in general manufacturing or at an OEM (original equipment manufacturer)
• 4. Experience overseeing project timelines and budgets
• 5. Experience reading blueprints/part drawings
• 6. Ability to forecast projects
• 7. Mechanical aptitude
• 8. Microsoft Office

Skills preferred but NOT required

• 1. ERP experience
• 2. Skilled trades background
• 3. Working knowledge of PLCs
• 4. Fabrication or paint background
