Our Digital Infrastructure Group has been at the forefront of creating a new generation of communication infrastructure for over 40 years. We specialize in network development, telecom lifecycle solutions, datacenter retrofits, modernization, and full datacenter buildouts. These environments require innovative technology and long-term support, including design, construction, updates, and maintenance of datacenter facilities.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Project Engineer to lead BMS and Controls Engineering projects in mission-critical data center environments. The role involves overseeing design, installation, commissioning, and integration of BMS and control systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Engineering & Execution
    • Participate in the technical execution of BMS and controls projects from design through commissioning.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors for timely and quality delivery.
    • Review engineering drawings, control schematics, and specifications.
  2. System Design & Integration
    • Develop and review control system architecture, I/O lists, and network topologies.
    • Specify and configure controllers, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
    • Integrate BMS with other systems like HVAC, fire alarm, security, and power monitoring.
  3. Installation & Commissioning
    • Support field installation, wiring, and panel fabrication.
    • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
    • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  4. Documentation & Reporting
    • Prepare technical documentation including submittals, RFIs, redlines, and as-built drawings.
    • Maintain project schedules, progress reports, and issue logs.
    • Support handover and training for operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in BMS/controls engineering, preferably in data centers or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g., Schneider Electric, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls).
  • Familiarity with control logic programming, SCADA systems, and HMI development.
  • Understanding of data center infrastructure including HVAC, electrical systems, and redundancy.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions:

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting to 20 pounds, hand manipulation, working near construction sites, hazardous equipment, uneven ground, and exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature extremes, and heights.
