Job summary

ABEC is seeking a Project Engineer to design bioprocess and clean utility systems for biopharma facilities. You will create P&IDs, GA drawings, and BOMs, perform sizing and validation calculations, and collaborate with designers to ensure proper fit and function.

You will support project managers and engage with customers throughout the lifecycle. You will lead or assist FAT and SAT activities, work with automation and quality teams, and identify process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience; 5+ years preferred in biopharma, piping, or custom equipment.
• Experience with equipment manufacturing, testing, or automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify bioprocess and clean utility systems for new and upgraded facilities.
• Create and review critical engineering documents (P&IDs, GA drawings, BOMs).
• Perform calculations for equipment sizing and system validation.
• Partner with designers to ensure equipment meets form, fit, and function expectations.
• Lead or support FAT/SAT and collaborate with QA to ensure successful project delivery.
