Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a Project Engineer - Designer to own the engineering development of compact construction equipment attachments—from concept through design, prototyping, testing, validation and release to production. Attachments include buckets, grapples, trenchers, stump grinders, augers, brush cutters, and more.

You will design products for field use, not just review drawings, and lead design efforts across cross-functional teams with hands-on prototype

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in product design and manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking for new product design.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design new products from the ground up with minimal history.
  • Cover all design aspects: planning, modeling, part selection, analysis, test plans, validation, and launch.
  • Research and detail new products or improvements.
  • Manage design records and engineering changes.
  • Prototype builds, testing, and evaluation of products.
  • Prepare manuals and assist with sales documentation.
