Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a Project Engineer - Designer to take ownership of the engineering development of compact construction equipment attachments from concept to production release. You will design products used in the field, from concept through prototyping, testing, validation, and release, with hands-on involvement in prototypes and testing.

The role requires 5–8 years in product design/manufacturing, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a mechanical engineering

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in product design and manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking for new product design.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Design new products from ground up with minimal history.
  • Handle all design stages: planning, modeling, parts selection, analysis, test plans, validation, launch.
  • Research products and define details for new products or improvements.
  • Maintain design records and lead Engineering Change Notices.
  • Hands-on prototype builds, testing, and evaluation of products.
  • Create manuals and assist marketing with sales documentation.
