Job summary

Black Ark Builders in Boise/Meridian, Idaho seeks a Project Engineer who understands how heavy civil projects are built and wants hands-on field involvement. You will work closely with the Project Manager and field crews to keep projects organized and moving forward.

Responsibilities include supporting active projects from preconstruction through closeout, handling RFIs and submittals, reviewing plans, assisting with change orders and procurement, tracking costs, and coordinating with vendors,

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil construction projects.
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, procurement, scheduling, or change orders.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• Clear communication for office and field personnel

Responsibilities

• Support active heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Prepare, track, and coordinate RFIs and submittals.
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents.
• Assist with change orders and project documentation.
• Support pay applications and progress tracking.
• Track quantities, materials, procurement, and project costs.
• Assist with project scheduling and look-ahead planning.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and field personnel.
• Maintain project records and closeout documentation.
• Help identify outstanding items and follow up until resolved.
• Work with field leadership to keep offices aligned with field activities
