Job summary

m2e Consulting Engineers in Florida seeks an Engineer to assist project managers with inspections, reporting, plan preparation and reviews; perform construction administration tasks and mentor entry level staff.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering, FE exam, Florida EI/EIT preferred, a valid Florida driver’s license, and 2–4 years of experience in construction, design, or inspection. Travel to job sites will be required. Learning and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• English proficiency: Fluent (Speak, read, understand, interpret content, and write).
• Basic principles and practices of construction inspection.
• Basic principles and practices of architecture and building systems design.
• Review and approval of project plans and specifications.
• Evaluation, review, and approval of change orders.
• Preparation and administration of assigned projects and corresponding budget.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers/Directors with daily project activities including inspections, reporting, plan preparation and reviews.
• Provide guidance to entry level employees on standard operating procedures.
• Perform construction administration tasks and monitor project progress.
• Travel to job sites to observe progress and report findings.
• Organize project files and maintain documentation.
• Enter time accurately and help keep projects on budget.
