Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a capable Project/Engineering coordinator at the Columbia Plant to drive capital projects under the AOP and LRP. You will develop scopes, manage ROI models, and collaborate with factory owners to execute master plans.

You will train staff, liaise with vendors and IS, and ensure safe, cost-efficient implementation of new systems while maintaining detailed PM documentation and proactive maintenance planning.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating project documentation and meetings.
  • Ability to communicate with plant personnel and contractors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management documentation skills.
  • Skilled in critical thinking for cost-effective project solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Engineer and Engineering on AOP and LRP capital projects.
  • Develop scope of work covering safety, quality, financials and ROI models.
  • Collaborate with factory owners to develop projects and master plan.
  • Ensure training of in-house technicians for new systems.
  • Assist engineering with design/installation of new systems.
  • Coordinate with plant, vendors, and IS to interface systems.
  • Communicate spare parts needs and maintenance plans for new projects.
  • Advise on preventive maintenance for installed equipment.
  • Keep costs controlled and materials usage efficient.
  • Follow KHMS processes for capital plan development, execution and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with ammonia team on mechanical integrity and OSHA compliance.
  • Participate in Pay For Knowledge Program.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Description

Principal Functions:



  • Work together with Project Engineer, Engineering on AOP "Accounting Operational Plan" Capital projects, and LRP "Long Range Plan" projects.

  • Develop scope of work, and project details to include Employee Safety, Food Quality, Financials and ROI models.

  • Collaborating with Factory package owners (Replacement, Quality, Regulatory/Safety and Continuous Improvement) to develop projects and master plan.

  • Ensure proper training of in-house technicians and operations personnel for each new system installed as a capital project.

  • Provide assistance and expertise to engineering concerning the design and installation of new systems.

  • Work with the Project Engineer to provide proper communication and interface between the factory installations, vendors, and factory IS systems as applicable, utilizing software, servers, modems, etc.

  • Responsible for communicating to the Maintenance Manager and Planners spare parts list for new project set-up as well as capturing storeroom items that need to be removed following project execution.

  • Responsible for communicating to the Maintenance Manager and Planners suggested preventive maintenance for equipment being installed by a capital project.

  • Responsible for keeping costs at a minimum for efficient operation, proper care and economical use of materials, efficient distribution of workforce.

  • Learn and follow KHMS process for engineering (Capital AOP Plan Development, Project Execution and Lessons Learned, Project plan and gain approval).

  • Coordinate with plant ammonia team (PSM coordinator) on all mechanical integrity and related ammonia projects to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

  • Participate and advance in the Pay For Knowledge Program.

  • As necessary, other duties and/or projects may be assigned.


Skills Required:



  • Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Outlook, Excel)

  • Project scheduling software (Microsoft Project)

  • Auto-CAD for drawing updates

  • Communication to coordinate with plant personnel and contractors to ensure project completion

  • Detail oriented - Project Management documentation including generation of meeting, RAILs, follow-up emails, etc.

  • Critical thinking - develop efficient/cost effective solutions for project development and implementation.
