Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking a Project Engineer Assistant to support capital projects at the Columbia Plant. You will work with the Project Engineer on AOP and LRP initiatives, ensuring safety, quality, ROI analysis, and efficient resource use across installations.

You will develop scopes, train in-house technicians, coordinate with vendors and plant IS systems, and help maintain equipment through proper maintenance planning and part management.

Qualifications

• Proven communication skills for coordinating with plant personnel and contractors.
• Attention to detail in project management documentation and follow-ups.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders on capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Engineer on AOP and LRP capital projects with safety, quality, and ROI in scope.

• Ensure training of in-house technicians for new systems installed as capital projects.
• Assist in design and installation of new equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and plant IS systems for interface and data exchange.
• Communicate spare parts list and preventive maintenance needs to Maintenance Manager.

## Project Engineer AssistantApply: Columbia, MO: Full time: Posted Today: R-107151## Job Description**Principal Functions:** * Work together with Project Engineer, Engineering on AOP “Accounting Operational Plan” Capital projects, and LRP “Long Range Plan” projects.* Develop scope of work, and project details to include Employee Safety, Food Quality, Financials and ROI models.* Collaborating with Factory package owners (Replacement, Quality, Regulatory/Safety and Continuous Improvement) to develop projects and master plan.* Ensure proper training of in-house technicians and operations personnel for each new system installed as a capital project.* Provide assistance and expertise to engineering concerning the design and installation of new systems.* Work with the Project Engineer to provide proper communication and interface between the factory installations, vendors, and factory IS systems as applicable, utilizing software, servers, modems, etc.* Responsible for communicating to the Maintenance Manager and Planners spare parts list for new project set-up as well as capturing storeroom items that need to be removed following project execution.* Responsible for communicating to the Maintenance Manager and Planners suggested preventive maintenance for equipment being installed by a capital project.* Responsible for keeping costs at a minimum for efficient operation, proper care and economical use of materials, efficient distribution of workforce.* Learn and follow KHMS process for engineering (Capital AOP Plan Development, Project Execution and Lessons Learned, Project plan and gain approval).* Coordinate with plant ammonia team (PSM coordinator) on all mechanical integrity and related ammonia projects to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.* Participate and advance in the Pay For Knowledge Program.* As necessary, other duties and/or projects may be assigned.**Skills Required:*** Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Outlook, Excel)* Project scheduling software (Microsoft Project)* Auto-CAD for drawing updates* Communication to coordinate with plant personnel and contractors to ensure project completion* Detail oriented – Project Management documentation including generation of meeting, RAILs, follow-up emails, etc.* Critical thinking – develop efficient/cost effective solutions for project development and implementation.**Benefits:** Coverage for employees (and their eligible dependents) through affordable access to healthcare, protection, and saving for the future, we offer plans tailored to meet you and your family’s needs.
