Job summary

CEPRA Landscape is seeking a Project Engineer to support landscape and irrigation estimating, project coordination, and plant procurement. You will collaborate with estimators, project managers, and field operations to price projects accurately, source materials, and ensure plant materials are available when needed.

Responsibilities include plant sourcing across Florida, maintaining procurement logs, and generating detailed cost estimates from plans and bid documents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years related experience in commercial construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, documents, and specifications.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and project teams.
  • Experience with estimating software preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of business mathematics, budgeting, and project reporting.

  • Source plant material through nurseries and suppliers throughout Florida and other markets as needed.
  • Maintain procurement logs, purchase orders, vendor records, and delivery documentation.
  • Perform full landscape and irrigation estimates from plans, specifications, and bid documents, including quantity takeoffs, material pricing, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs.
  • Obtain and evaluate pricing from nurseries, suppliers, subcontractors, and other vendors.
  • Ensure submittals are complete, accurate, and submitted in accordance with project specifications and schedules.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for plant material, irrigation, landscape materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs.
  • Track bid deadlines and ensure estimates and proposals are completed and submitted on time.
