Job summary

Milwaukee Succeeds is seeking a Project Engineer in the Greater Milwaukee area to balance technical design work, project management, and cross-functional collaboration from concept through installation.   • 3+ years of project management experience leading technical projects.
  • Experience with custom-engineered products, industrial systems, or building systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex engineering projects from design through implementation and field support
  • Develop engineering drawings, project documentation, calculations, and technical deliverables
  • Partner with customers, contractors, architects, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and priorities across multiple active projects
  • Support installation and commissioning activities by providing technical expertise and problem-solving
  • Drive process improvements, documentation standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering organization

We're currently working with a growing manufacturer in the Greater Milwaukee area that is looking to add a Project Engineer to its expanding engineering team. This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys balancing technical design work, project management, and cross-functional collaboration while taking ownership of projects from concept through installation. Project Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex engineering projects from design through implementation and field support
  • Develop engineering drawings, project documentation, calculations, and technical deliverables
  • Partner with customers, contractors, architects, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and priorities across multiple active projects
  • Support installation and commissioning activities by providing technical expertise and problem-solving
  • Drive process improvements, documentation standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering organization
Requirements for Project Engineer:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering design experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience leading technical projects
  • Experience working with custom-engineered products, industrial systems, structural steel, building systems, or related applications
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings
  • AutoCAD experience required; 3D modeling experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
