Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer for an on-site role in West Valley City, UT. The incumbent will assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with day-to-day project management tasks, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality targets are met on a specific project.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in construction, a relevant bachelor's degree, strong communication, and proficiency with Primavera and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer in daily project management tasks.
• Attend and lead meetings when required.
• Support with subcontractor coordination and field problem resolution.
• Review drawings, submittals and RFIs; monitor safety and quality.
• Assist with billing, cash flow projections, and change orders.

Job description

• On-site in West Valley City, UT (after project is completed, may move elsewhere for another project)
• 2 flights paid for per month to go home

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong communication skills both written and oral

Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivations skills

Time Management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial

Possess high attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience

Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Applications and Outlook

Knowledgeable in Primavera

Must have a valid Driver’s License

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

Support a team consisting of Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other staff

Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, & workforce

Review shop drawing, submittals and schedules, and process RFIs

Monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs

Understand and assist with project layout Identify critical work items, and procure long-lead items Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders

Manage document control including submittals schedules, contract documents, and shop drawings Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment

Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce Instill safety as a top priority

Maintaining as-built drawings & manuals

Attend and/or lead meetings

Other duties may be assigned.

Job Description

The Project Engineer will assist and support the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer as well as the project staff in the technical day-to-day project management responsibilities of a specific project.

Compensation:

$100,000-$110,000 per year annual salary.
