Job summary

Vertical Earth, Inc seeks a Transportation Field Engineer to oversee day-to-day activities at transportation construction sites. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and superintendents to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality control.

Required 1–2 years of civil/transportation construction or related degree, strong communication and organization, and proficiency in MS Office. You must read blueprints and hold a clean 5-year MVR, with a location within 1 hour of Warner

Job description

As a Transportation Field Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations at transportation construction sites. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and superintendents to ensure that all construction activities are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with project specifications. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support, monitor construction activities, and ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules.

• Support project scheduling, cost tracking, and budgeting activities.
• Attend project meetings and assist with subcontractor coordination
• Provide technical support in the field and office as needed
• And other tasks assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field OR have at least 1-2 years of experience in civil/transportation construction.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Able to meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality work.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Valid driver's license and have a clean 5 year MVR.

Must be located within 1 hour of Warner Robins
