Role Overview

Otis is growing and is looking for a Project Engineer located in Penang.

Your priority is to monitor installation and inspection and conduct final checks to ensure the lift installation quality meets the necessary requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review the loading forecast, completion schedule, and manpower rolling plan.
  • Attend kick-off meetings, subsequent project meetings including NSC meeting, CCM meeting, Bomba inspection, JKKP inspection and establish customer channels of communication.
  • Review and submit the completion schedule to the customer and support the government tester and internal QC staff.
  • Hand over to the client, regularly report project status, highlight potential issues, and participate in site activities.
  • Ensure that the projects are implemented effectively to achieve the profitability target and/or not to exceed the cost limit.
  • Coordinate teams of Installation Supervisors, fitters, subcontractors, Technical Specialists, and New Equipment Sales on installation issues.
  • Implement installation methods and supervise the execution of works, materials, assemblies, and documentation.
  • Advise the Managers to issue citations and update EH&S policies, standards, and local regulations regularly to keep the data up to date.
  • Monitor installation and inspection and conduct final checks to ensure the lift installation quality meets company requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of the work environment and resolve defect/outstanding list and technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic)
  • Possesses 3-4 years of experience in a similar position and industry.
  • Strong customer and service orientation, including excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Target focused, with the ability to work at pace in a demanding, complex, corporate organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills and possess strong organizational abilities.
  • Highly organized and structured, able to deal with multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and results driven.
