Hitachi Energy USA Inc in Mount Pleasant, PA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead GIS substation projects from concept through installation, delivering reliable power infrastructure.

Based in Mount Pleasant with a hybrid work arrangement, you’ll translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions, develop layouts and documentation, and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and compliance with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in substation engineering or power systems.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD (Creo/AutoCAD) preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, project reviews, and site support.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Three or more years of experience in substation engineering, high-voltage equipment, power systems, or heavy industrial engineering environments preferred.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software, with experience using Creo and AutoCAD preferred.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience creating and managing engineering documentation and technical deliverables.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings, project reviews, and site support activities.
