Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is offering a field-based learning role on a construction project site in Tampa. The position focuses on teaching Ryan processes, procedures, and policies while working from a project site for at least six months, potentially the full duration of the project.

You will learn through hands-on tasks such as RFIs, shop drawing coordination, safety practices, and coordinating deliveries, with exposure to permit inspections and punchlist activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is required.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and read drawings.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Help generate RFIs and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and coordination.
• Learn project dimensional control and verify dimensions against shop drawings.
• Assist in coordinating and tracking Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Understand overall site logistics.
• Participate in city and jurisdictional permit inspection processes.
• Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
• Accompany personnel on Punchlist inspections and monitor completion.
• Contribute to preparing and updating the project schedule.

Job Description

This individual will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.

The objective is to educate the employee in field and office operations while working from a construction project site for a minimum of six months and preferably for the duration of an entire construction project.

Some Things You Can Expect To Do

• Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.


• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.


• Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.


• Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.


• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.


• Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.


• Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.


• Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.


• Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.


• Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule
