Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal developmentoffullTurreted Weapon Systems (TWS) solutions.

The Project Engineer for Turreted Weapons Systems will be working on the design, development, and implementation of turreted weapons systems. The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring the successful integration of turreted weapons systems into various platforms, such as military vehicles or portable platforms.

Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:

Plan and execute the design and development phase of turreted weapon systems from contract award through transition into production

Lead the technical team by providing guidance to the systems, mechanical, electrical, and software design engineers to ensure the resulting solution meets the performance and programmatic needs

Lead the development, prototyping, integration, and debugging of complex systems consisting of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems

Maintain the appropriate level of configuration management of the design throughout the program, including ensuring an accurate Bill of Material

Coordinate and contribute to technical reports, data items, and presentations

Develop test plans for internal use and customer acceptance and assembly work instructions, and define tooling and test equipment needs

Work with supply chain to identify options that support the needs of the program

Support field testing

Support proposal, business development, and continuous improvement activities

Here's what you'll need to bring with you:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related field

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

5+ years engineering experience working with complex systems

Experience with configuration control of complex electro-mechanical systems. Military or aerospace systems highly preferred.

Ability to understand dynamic control architectures, performance simulations, hardware drawings, schematics, and device specifications

Good problem solving, abstraction, and presentation skills

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, if required

It would be nice if you also had:

Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

Familiarity with military ground-mobile applications

Experience with turreted weapon systems

Working knowledge of small/medium caliber direct fire weapons

Experience with target acquisition systems (sights, range finders, etc.)

Salary Range Transparency:

Santa Barbara, CA $90,000.00–$142,000.00 Annually
