Job summary

Rex Moore Group, Inc. in Sacramento seeks a Project Engineer to manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, WBS and material kits across multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will coordinate with project managers and executives, attend start-up and close-out meetings, prepare and process RFIs/submittals, maintain project logs, and support site mobilization and scheduling using Plan Grid and other tools.

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in Construction Management or Electrical Field preferred.
  • Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills; a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal customer needs and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Project Engineers/Assistant Project Managers and external customers.
  • Schedule and participate in project meetings; take notes and action items.
  • Prepare, maintain, and process RFIs, Submittals and close-out documents.
  • Create and maintain project logs (Change Requests, Submittals, RFIs).
  • Assist Project Managers and Executives in project duties.
  • Process material, rental equipment and tool orders.
  • Perform material takeoffs for Change Orders.

This position may involve infrequent site visits which will require the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor, and proof-read documents to identify errors.Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach.May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.PM22
