Job description

Project Engineer — Concrete Division | Travel Opportunity | Nationwide | Richmond, VA

Some engineers watch the schedule. You'll drive it.

We're looking for a Project Engineer to join a fast-moving Utilities at Scale concrete package — and travel to some of the largest, highest-profile construction projects in the country. If you thrive in the field, think three steps ahead, and want a career built on variety instead of routine, this is your next move.

Why Travel Matters Here

This role isn't tied to one job site. You'll rotate across major projects nationwide, building a resume most engineers spend a decade trying to match — different teams, different challenges, same high bar for execution.

What You’ll Own
  • Plan, coordinate & execute daily concrete operations that keep the whole job moving
  • Partner directly with Superintendents & Field Engineers on layout, placement & sequencing
  • Build the work plans, pour sequences, lift drawings & takeoffs that turn plans into pours
  • Track quantities & production rates — you'll know exactly where the job stands, every day
  • Review drawings, RFIs & submittals before they ever slow down the field
  • Keep trade partners, suppliers & internal teams moving in sync
  • Run the documentation & project controls that keep the job defensible and on track
  • Support safety planning so every crew goes home the way they came in
  • Catch risks before they become problems — and bring solutions, not just flags

  • Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
Why This Role

This is high-tolerance, high-visibility work on some of the biggest builds in the industry. You won't just track the concrete package — you'll help shape how it gets built, project after project, city after city.
