Job summary

Muller Inc is a full-service Site Work Contractor based in Northern Virginia, providing sustainable civil construction across MD, VA, and DC. This role involves daily site work on 1-2 sites, ensuring quantity control, change order awareness, and timely planning submissions to the PPOC.

Responsibilities include material orders, subcontractor supervision, and weekly schedule reviews. Applicants should be proficient with Excel/Bluebeam/Word/Teams and may benefit from bilingual Spanish/English

Qualifications

• Read and interpret project drawings and identify scope of work.
• Ability to document and manage site activities using standard software.
• Spanish/English bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track quantities on site (feet of pipe, loads hauled, fills) and alert if over estimates.
• Recognize and report potential change orders on site to PPOC.
• Track daily delays (weather, stakeouts, other trades) and communicate impacts.
• Ensure foremen submit daily plans for PPOC review.
• Order materials needed for foremen/superintendents.
• Verify subcontractors perform their scope and confirm crew size/productivity.
• Review project schedule weekly with PPOC and site supervisor to stay on plan.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Working on 1-2 job sites daily (depends on size) to ensure the following items are completed daily:

• Quantity tracking on site (verifying feet of pipe installed, loads hauled out/in, loads placed for a fill operation). They will make sure we dont go over estimated quantities or alerting the PPOC if we are going to be over on a quantity.
• Recognizing and reporting of any potential change order work on site to the PPOC.
• Tracking any delays that occur on the project daily (weather tracking, surveying stakeout delay, other trades in our way, etc.)
• Ensuring all foreman on their site get their daily plans submitted in a timely manner for the PPOC to review.
• Ordering of materials needed for the foreman/super.
• Ensuring all subcontractors are performing their scope of work correctly, and confirming their crew size and productivity.
• Reviewing the schedule weekly with PPOC and site super to ensure we are on schedule.

Physical Requirements:

• Employee must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
• Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
• Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Qualifications:

• Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation – Ability to read and interpret project drawings and identify what is included within our scope of work.
• Computer & Technology Skills – Comfortable using a computer on a daily basis to track, document, and manage items and activities on site. Preferred experience with Excel, Bluebeam, Word, Teams
• Creativity & Problem-Solving – Ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions when faced with unique or unexpected tasks that fall outside the norm.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
