Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of information among staff, Owner, Architect, and subcontractors
• Prepare, track, and distribute RFIs, sketches, and other project information
• Attend subcontractor and Owner/Architect coordination meetings and prepare minutes
• Plan and schedule construction methods with Superintendent and Project Manager
• Maintain and control engineering records and files
• Assist in preparation and updating of project schedules and budgets

POSITIONSUMMARY:Providestechnicalsupporttoassignedprojectsbycoordinatingtheflowofinformationconcerningcontractdocumentstothestaff,Owner,Architectandallsubcontractors.Thisroleassistsinsupervisingprojectsubcontractprocurement,expeditingandasnecessaryschedulesubcontractorandsupplierlogisticschedules.Inaddition,theProjectEngineermonitorstheprojectsubmittalsystem,andreportstotheProjectManageronvariousprojectissues.TheProjectEngineerresponsibilitiesspanabroadspectrum,coveringallareasofprojectmanagement.

GENERALDUTIES:

• Controlthepromptflowofinformation,plans,specifications,instructionsandchangestofieldconstructionforces,subcontractorsandmaterialsuppliers.
• Prepare,trackanddistributerequestsforinformation,sketchesandotherprojectinformation.
• Prepareanddistributeweeklyquantityreports.
• ProcureaccurateworkquantitiesfromtheSuperintendentandpayroll/costinformationfromaccountingtocreatereports.
• AttendsubcontractorandOwner/Architectcoordinationmeetingsandpreparemeetingminutesifrequired.
• PlanandscheduletheconstructionmethodsinconjunctionwiththeSuperintendentandtheProjectManager.
• Quantitytake-offforpurposeofbudgetestimates,schedulingandpurchasing.
• Assistinpreparationofbudgetandchangeestimates.
• Preparationofcharts,graphsandfielddrawingsasrequiredforschedulingandconstructionpurposes.
• Assistintheissuanceofchangeandextraworkordersinaccordancewithcontractdocuments.
• Reviewofcontractdrawingsandspecificationsforaccuracyandcompleteness.
• Updatetheofficesetofcontractdocumentsonanon-goingbasis.PeriodicallyreviewthefieldsetofcontractdrawingswiththeSuperintendenttoensurethattheyareuptodateandcomplete,includingRFIlogs,sketchlogs,andpostingstodrawings.AssistSuperintendentwithupdatingasrequired.
• Maintainandcontrolallengineeringrecordsandfiles.
• Issueandfiletransmittalsforalloutgoinginformation.
• Assistintheestablishmentoftherequirementsfortheon-siteinspectionandtestingofmaterials,components,systemsandstructuresforprojectqualitycontrol.Reviewallinspectionreports.
• Establishaprojectreferencelibraryofapplicablecodesandstandardsforusebyprojectpersonnel.
• AssisttheProjectManagerinthepreparationandupdatingoftheprojectschedule,includinglabor.
• AssistinthecoordinationandimplementationoftheCompany’sEEOandMBE/MBWEprogramsfortheproject.
• AssistintheestablishmentoftherequirementsfortheBuildingInformationModel(BIM),includingbutnotnecessarilylimitedto,provideprojectspecificinformationfortheBIMexecutionplan,attendallBIMcoordinationmeetingsandpreparemeetingminutesifrequired

BASICQUALIFICATIONS:
