Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our manufacturing team, leveraging a strong background in commercial construction to support project execution. You will manage construction documentation, coordinate schedules, and ensure project engineering aligns for successful delivery.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in construction management and 3+ years of related experience, with proficiency in MS Office, BlueBeam, Revit, AutoCAD, and Procure a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand construction contract documents.
  • Generate track, log, and review RFIs.
  • Obtain, review, and document project submittals.
  • Review and track project ASIs and similar change documentation.
  • Schedule, host, and document internal project team meetings.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings and spool sheets across internal teams.
  • Complete material takeoffs and procurement logs.
  • Assist PM in coordination with jobsite install teams.
  • Track vendor/subcontractor schedules and expedite.
  • Coordinate with fabrication shop for production handoffs and RFIs.
  • Gather and submit project closeout documentation.
  • Support and interact with internal and external team members.
  • Seek opportunities to take on leadership roles in internal teams to grow capacity.

Job Description SurePods, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our manufacturing team. We're searching for someone that has a background in commercial construction, ideally with manufacturing leadership experience. This individual will be responsible for supporting the execution of projects by managing construction documentation, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that all aspects of project engineering are aligned for successful delivery.

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and understand construction contract documents.
  • Generate track, log, and review RFI's.
  • Obtain, review, and document project submittals.
  • Review and track project ASI, and similar change documentation.
  • Schedule, host, and document internal project team meetings.

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
  • Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust as required to support the project needs.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of building processes and systems.
  • Effective participation in team environment.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite and BlueBeam.
  • Revit, Autocad, and Procure experience a plus.
  • A strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in construction management and/or 3+ years related construction experience.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional travel to project sites for coordination and planning purposes. Must be able to lift 15+ pounds as needed.
