Job summary

The Douglas Company, a 100% employee-owned construction firm, is seeking a Project Manager for mid-to-large senior living and multi-family projects in the Orlando area. You will handle project cost control, RFIs, coordination with project superintendents, subcontractor contracts and purchase orders, and project billing while ensuring client satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Travel may reach up to 40% based on project needs; a related bachelor's degree and understanding of basic construction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Construction Management/Civil Engineering/Construction Engineering Technology preferred).
  • 0-5 years of experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Understanding of basic construction methods and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Project cost control
  • RFI management
  • Daily coordination with Project Superintendents
  • Issuance of subcontractor contracts and purchase orders
  • Project billing/project closeout
  • Pre-construction activities
  • Submittal review, coordination and processing
  • Active participation in project meetings with agendas and minutes
  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Maintain subcontractor relationships
  • Adjust to change
  • Focus on schedule and quality

  • Request for information (RFI)
  • Daily coordination with Project Superintendents
  • Issuance of subcontractor contracts and purchase orders
  • Project billing/project closeout
  • Pre-construction activities
  • Submittal review, coordination and processing
  • Active participation in all project related meetings to include preparation of agendas and publication of minutes
  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Maintain subcontractor relationships
  • Must recognize and adjust to change
  • Setting and achieving specific standards for self and for others; an emphasis on schedule and quality
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (Construction Management/Civil Engineering/Construction Engineering Technology preferred)
  • 0-5 years of experience in the Construction Industry
  • Understanding of basic construction methods and materials
