Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates seeks a Project Engineer for Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex to support planning, design, and implementation of new machine tools and infrastructure upgrades. You will provide technical leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with ASME/NQA-1 requirements for nuclear facilities.

The role requires a BS from an ABET-accredited program, 10 years of relevant experience, U.S.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited technical BS degree required.
  • 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct the engineering activities on projects.
  • Establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup and Project Controls.
  • Review progress against approved schedules and take corrective action.

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Engineer opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex.

Description
  • Commercial, Infrastructure, Production Modernization, and/or Production Stockpile projects.
  • Engineering support necessary to complete planning, design and implementation of new machine tools and/or infrastructure upgrades.
  • Technical integration, leadership, guidance, and direction to other multi-disciplined engineering teams as requested for high profile plant initiatives and will appropriately apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities.
  • Plan and direct the engineering activities on projects.
  • Establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules.
  • Professionally coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls personnel.
  • Review project engineering progress against approved schedules and take corrective action when required.

  • BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited school in a technical discipline
  • 10 years of relevant experience
