Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Major Equipment for our Oak Ridge, TN project at the Y-12 National Security Complex. You will join a disciplined engineering team delivering design, procurement, and construction support for high-hazard facilities.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 10 years of relevant experience, and CREO parametric proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading multi-discipline machine design efforts is preferred.
  • Experience producing build-to-print equipment fabrication packages is preferred.
  • CREO parametric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Estimating, specifying, designing, procurement and construction support of specialty and first-of-a-kind equipment at the Y-12 National Security Complex.
  • Creating design concepts using CREO CAD software and topology optimization software as appropriate.

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Engineer (Major Equipment) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex.

Description

The Major Equipment Mechanical Engineer will support the following tasks:

  • Estimating, specifying, designing, procurement and construction support of specialty and first of a kind equipment such as gloveboxaes, furnaces, high vacuum systems and metal casting/machining equipment.
  • Creating design concepts using Pro/Engineer (CREO) CAD software and topology optimization software as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience leading multi-discipline machine design efforts is preferred
  • Experience producing build-to-print equipment fabrication packages is preferred
  • CREO parametric experience is preferred

  • United States Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Security Clearance. Active Q preferred.
