I. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Help us lay the foundation for the future by joining the J-Track family. The Project Engineer provides technical support for heavy civil and transportation projects, working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure project success.

II. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 30-hour OSHA certification preferred

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Field Engineers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews.
• Supervise Field Engineers.
• Review contract documents and assist in developing project work plans.
• Oversee field work, monitor progress, and manage material deliveries.
• Manage subcontractor and material contracts.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
• Participate in cost control and monthly forecasting.
• Prepare monthly pay estimates and handle change orders and RFIs.

IV. QUALIFICATIONS

• Heavy Civil Construction experience with 5+ years in the field
• MTA experience preferred
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills
• Safety-conscious mindset

Salary Range: $95,000—$160,000 USD
