Ryan Companies is seeking a team-oriented learner to assist on construction projects, gaining exposure to field and office operations. The role focuses on understanding Ryan processes, procedures and policies while working from a project site for at least six months, ideally the project duration.

Responsibilities include assisting with RFIs, shop drawings, dimensional control, and coordination of deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is required.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing is essential.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and read architectural/engineering drawings.

Job Description:

This individual will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.

The objective is to educate the employee in field and office operations while working from a construction project site for a minimum of six months and preferably for the duration of an entire construction project.

Some things you can expect to do:

• Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
• Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
• Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
• Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
• Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
• Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
• Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule
