Job summary

A construction services firm in Minneapolis is seeking a Project Engineer to manage projects by supporting presentations, maintaining relationships, and ensuring timely completions. Responsibilities

  • Support client presentations and maintain relationships.
  • Assist with project hand-off/startup meetings and schedules.
  • Build and maintain subcontractor partnerships.
  • Support projects from startup through closeout.
  • Monitor schedules, costs, and change orders.
  • Help forecast project costs and document risks.
  • Participate in safety and project meetings.
  • Ensure timely project closeout and punch list resolution.
  • Assist with lien waivers and final documentation.
  • Share lessons learned for future projects.

Job description

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based upon experience.

Position Summary

As the Project Engineer with Eagle Building Company, you will be a valued asset as the central hub for information. The Project Engineer works with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and project team on assigned project(s) to ensure that work is completed on or ahead of schedule, on or under budget, and the client and associated parties (i.e., Architect, engineers, etc.) are delighted with the final product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client presentations and maintain relationships
  • Assist with project hand-off/startup meetings and schedules
  • Build and maintain subcontractor partnerships
  • Support projects from startup through closeout, including subcontractor/material selection and contracts
  • Monitor schedules, costs, and change orders; track RFIs, submittals, and logs
  • Help forecast project costs and document risks
  • Participate in safety, quality control, and project meetings
  • Ensure timely project closeout, punch list resolution, and warranty support
  • Assist with lien waivers, HUD requirements, and final documentation
  • Share lessons learned for future projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of scheduling software (ASTA or similar)
  • Familiarity with project management tools (CMiC, Procore, or similar)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
