Qualifications

Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

Project Engineer - Data Center (Electrical) | This Project Engineer role supports the construction of a large-scale data center project with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. The position is responsible for managing document control, RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedule updates, and cost tracking while partnering closely with project managers, field leadership, and subcontractors to keep the project on schedule and within budget.

• Seeking a Project Engineer with experience supporting electrical scopes on data center, semiconductor, or other large-scale construction projects. Candidates should have strong document control experience, including RFIs, submittals, schedules, and change orders, along with the ability to track project costs and coordinate with field and project management teams. Bluebeam proficiency and knowledge of electrical construction practices are highly preferred.

Top Qualifications

• 2+ years of Project Engineer experience supporting data center, semiconductor, or large industrial construction projects.
• Experience with electrical construction, preferably working for an electrical contractor or subcontractor.
• Strong experience managing RFI logs, submittals, document control, and change orders.
• Ability to read and analyze construction schedules and support project progress reporting.
• Experience with job cost tracking, cost coding, forecasting, and cost control processes.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, and project documentation systems.
• Understanding of medium- and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate between engineering, field operations, project management, and subcontractors.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at a data center project in east Mesa, working primarily in a field-office and construction site environment. The typical schedule is a standard Monday through Friday workweek of approximately 40 hours, with some flexibility as project needs require. The role involves regular interaction with project managers, field supervisors, and trade partners, as well as frequent use of digital tools such as Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other project management and document control systems. The environment combines office-based tasks, such as document control and schedule analysis, with on-site coordination and meetings.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
