Job summary

Anchor Construction is looking for a Project Engineer to help deliver heavy civil projects in the Washington, DC area. You will collaborate with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects safe, on schedule, and within budget.

The role involves planning, submittals, cost tracking, site visits, and coordinating with stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering and 2+ years of experience are preferred, with proficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of Project Engineer experience (or 6+ years of relevant construction experience)
• Heavy civil construction experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 and AutoCAD experience a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver license required

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, and contract administration
• Manage submittals, RFIs, permits, and project closeout documents
• Track quantities, invoices, project costs, and production progress
• Coordinate with field crews, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors
• Conduct site visits to ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards
• Assist with change orders, project reporting, and project meetings

Salary: $75,000-$90,000

Position Summary
