Job Title: Project Engineer

Compensation
$85,000 - $120,000/year plus bonus
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the assigned facility.
- Exercise functional authority over personnel working on capital projects, including maintenance, continuous improvement, and outside contractors, coordinating and negotiating project staffing requirements.
- Communicate integrally with the broader team to enable planning, troubleshooting, and execution of key initiatives; prepare and present plans to project stakeholders or Steering Committee.
- Carried out process improvement initiatives through capital projects.
- Coordinate the launch of manufacturing upgrades, establishing goals, training team members, evaluating results, and ensuring project integration into plant operations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment to support the development of master plans, updating them at least annually.
- Maintain interface with Business Unit and Supply Chain Leadership to provide capital plan updates and ensure customer needs are met.
- Support standards development and application of ways of working.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert for Project Management Principles, Early Management, and VSU, owning the VSU roadmap for each project as needed.
- Leverage expertise in Maintenance Prevention, Design FMEA, TT&T (Technology Transfer and Training), FAT, SAT, and CQV methodologies.
- Assign and oversee project personnel across the VSU cycle, documenting all aspects of project execution within the VSU framework.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in Engineering Project Management.
- Experience with AutoCAD or a similar drafting system.
- Current, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).
Preferred
- Degree in Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
- Previous engineering project management experience at a manufacturing firm or consulting firm specializing in manufacturing processes.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- PE designation.
Physical Requirements
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, occasional forklift or pallet jack operation.
