Job summary

Kyyba is recruiting a Project Engineer for our client in Liberty, NC. The role focuses on supporting capital projects, manufacturing launches, construction activities, and pre-production trials onsite.

You will work with cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience, strong KPI reporting and data analysis skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in a project-related role.
• Strong experience in KPI reporting, data analysis, project scheduling, and milestone tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% as needed.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and during scheduled shutdowns as required.

Responsibilities

• Track and report project KPIs, milestones, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project activities across engineering, construction, purchasing, and project management teams.
• Support construction milestones, equipment installation, and pre-production trial activities.
• Develop standardized project reports, schedules, and documentation.
• Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Our client, a leading company in the Automotive and Battery Manufacturing Industry, is looking for a talented Project Engineer to join their team in Liberty, NC to support capital projects, manufacturing launches, construction activities, and pre-production trials.

About the Role:

Location: Liberty, NC (Onsite | Long Term Contract)

• Local candidates are preferred, but we are open to non local candidates who are ready to relocate independently.
• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required, up to 10%.
• Standard working hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for project needs.

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and scheduled shutdown periods as needed.
• Flexibility to support evening meetings with international teams when required.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%, as needed.

Added Bonus:

• Automotive or battery manufacturing experience.
• Experience with structured project management and gated milestone processes.
• Continuous improvement and problem-solving experience.
• Experience coordinating large-scale manufacturing or construction projects.
